The striking wheel is the main assembly part of the fan coal mill, which is fixed on the cantilever end of the main shaft of the bearing box. It is mainly composed of front disc, rear disc, connecting beam, percussion plate and other components, which are equivalent to blades. When running, the percussion wheel rotates synchronously with the motor. The raw coal rotates at the entrance of the front disc. When the percussion wheel rotates at high speed, After being hit by the percussion board, it is ground into powder and then blown into the separator for separation. Ventilated back ribs are provided on the back of the rear disc of the percussion wheel to protect the rear disc rim and disc surface and prevent powder leakage at the shaft end.Coal is an energy source that plays an important part for a reliable energy supply. In the coal power plant the mined coal is first transported on conveyor systems into the bunker. On the way it passes a separator, where foreign substances are eliminated. as well as a crusher unit, where the overall top size is reduced. In the coal mills the coal is milled and dried with flue gas before it is blown into the combustion chamber and burned completely.
On the way from extraction to pulverized firing, the coal undergoes several processing stages. This imposes very high requirements regarding wear protection and heat resistance on the installations and equipment.
For this purpose, a numerical finite-element discrete model using the submodeling technique has been developed. Simulation results and conclusions have been presented. Benefits of this modelling approach have been demonstrated in relation to the computational time and the size of files generated during the analysis.
